Any dog of any age can participate. ATC members can also become involved in street tracking where you are taught how to read the dog whilst tracking in the suburban streets

Any dog of any age can participate. ATC members can also become involved in street tracking where you are taught how to read the dog whilst tracking in the suburban streets. Most ATC members move onto trialling their dogs for both tracking dogs (bush tracking) and then when more advanced,trial for track and search, which involves street tracking. whatever level your interest extends to.

2017 Advanced Tracking Club agreed to support another sport now sanctioned sport to hold Trials. Scent-work training has been underway with positive results and a rapidly growing following. A single dog sport which does not discriminate against handler with physical limitations and dogs who have achieved all available levels in any other sport also physical and behavioural challenges.
Expanding the dogs olfactory system is helpful and in concert with any Tracking Dog fitting well within the purpose of Advanced Tracking Club of WA Inc. OBJECTIVES : To challenge the dogs and at the same time explore a variety of methods and to increase their scenting capabilities by introducing more advanced training methods .To strive to produce quality tracking and eliminate trailing at the same time.
In 2024, ATC WA supports and encourages "Scent Work WA". SWWA will be taking over all ATC scent work events from July 2024 as per our agreement between our two clubs. Scent work dog sport has growing so fast that it needs a special scent work club to run scent work events.
Weekly training throughout the cooler months of the year. April to October for members only.
